Smartphone or tablet:

1. Download the Zoom app from the app store
2. Do NOT use the “Join” or “Sign In/Up” screen options
3. Follow the next steps when you're ready to enter class
4. Open the "Link to Attend" email or Confirmation email you received when you registered
5. Click the training link button in the email
6. Waiting Room page will open in a web browser until 30 mins before class starts
7. Keep Waiting Room page open
8. Zoom app will open automatically 30 mins before class starts
9. Enter your First and Last Name, click Join
10. Wait for a Staff member to let you into class
11. Once in, allow Zoom to use the mic and camera, if it asks

 

Your personal computer:

1. Open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge)
2. Go to this link: https://zoom.us/download
3. Under “Zoom Client for Meetings” click the blue Download button
4. The Zoom app will begin downloading
5. Go to Downloads in your Windows file folder
6. Click on the “Zoom Installer” file to begin the installation process
7. Wait for the Initializing screen to finish
8. A Zoom screen with options will appear
9. Do NOT use the “Join” or “Sign In” screen options
10. Follow the next steps when you're ready to enter class
11. Open the "Link to Attend" email or Confirmation email you received when you registered
12. Click the training link button in the email
13. Waiting Room page will open in a web browser until 30 mins before class starts
14. Keep Waiting Room page open
15. Zoom app will open automatically 30 mins before class starts
16. Enter your First and Last Name, click Join
17. Wait for a Staff member to let you into class
18. Once in, allow Zoom to use the mic and camera, if it asks
19. Select Join Audio by Computer

 

Shared or lab computer:

1. No download is required
2. If using a Lab computer, you will need headphones or earbuds with a mic piece to plug into the computer headphone port (see pics below)
3. Open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge)
4. Open the "Link to Attend" email or Confirmation email you received when you registered
5. Click the training link button in the email
6. Waiting Room page will open in the web browser until 30 mins before class starts
7. Keep Waiting Room page open
8. Zoom will open a web page automatically 30 mins before class starts
9. Click the bottom blue link that says “Start from browser” or “Join from browser”
10. Type your First Name and Last Name and do the “I’m not a robot” part
11. Click the Join button
12. Allow Zoom to use the mic and camera, if it asks
13. Wait for a Staff member to let you into the class
14. Once in, select Join Audio by Computer

Headphones or earbuds are NOT required except if you're using a Lab computer. Most laptops have built-in speakers and a mic. You are welcome to use what you have!
