Job Summary
The Strategic Planning Analyst is part of the Strategic Planning team. It’s an integral role within the organization and has visibility to overall Company operations and to senior management.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing the capex report every month
- Responsible for validating all projects in SAI before releasing them for authorization
- Responsible for consolidating and validating all capital, lease and deferred charge requests during the budgeting season
- Serve as a liaison between the US Operation and Central Planning in Monterrey, Mexico
- Maximize allocated capital by ensuring accurate spending forecasts
- Encourage compliance with budget and internal audit by anticipating and requesting extra funds to Central Planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Business or Engineering preferred
- 5 years’ professional work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and desire to advance within the company
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Prioritize, handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced and high volume environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency, detail oriented and ability to drive results
- Basic Accounting knowledge is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to maintain and handle confidential information
Working Conditions
- Capable to work extended hours as needed
- Capable of working in an open concept office environment
Physical Requirements
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
- Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
